Emancipative Pedagogy in the Age of Globalization

**please take a moment to view this video of your earth -- and let us redeem it.

Oh pirates, yes, they rob I
Sold I to the merchant ships
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit
But my hand was made strong
...By the hand of the almighty
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly
Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
'Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds

Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none of them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look?

Yes, Some say it's just a part of it
We've got to fullfil the book
Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
'Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs

-Bob Marley-

No Room to Run

"The current cycle of global warming is changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon. What will we do to slow this warming? How will we cope with the changes we've already set into motion? While we struggle to figure it all out, the face of the Earth as we know it—coasts, forests, farms, and snowcapped mountains—hangs in the balance (Global Warming, National Geographic)."

"Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery

-bob marley.
These words were also from a speech given by Marcus Garvey in Nova Scotia during October 1937.
"We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind. Mind is your only ruler, sovereign. The man who is not able to develop and use his mind is bound to be the slave of the other man who uses his mind..."

Death and life issue; do we choose to follow the prophets and be emancipated? It is always a difficult journey for an individual and as the whole.

Conscience is number one to overcome the challenges; so our renewed pedagogy is the life time self education and our engagement is life time as well.

Pray and cry over the valley to the Lord!!!

As we walk by fear, we lose our freedom. When we walk by faith, we gain our freedom and no one can take our faith without our permission.

An excerpt from Psalm 23: "...though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil."

It's all about faith :)

It is the fear we have that removes our freedom. Likewise, the greater faith we choose, the greater freedom we enjoy.

Your message sadly has been true for too many years to count and unfortunately the powers that be are responsible they want LESS people on the planet so they can have it ALL.

If the masses in the US, Europe and Japan as well as just about the entire world do not stop the sinking of our planet with its people by these few who control over 80-90% of the natural resources not to mention the majority of the money and getting greedier by the day it will surely be the fall of Rome.

I pray everyday that humanity comes together on a collective conscious level to turn this around but we have reach a tipping point and it can go either way unfortunately.

We shall be fine as we are truly working hard everyday to help our fellowship and ourselves to see the alternatives and move in the right direction.

Let's stay positive that we will indeed arrive at this enlighten state before it is too late.

Dear Helena,

Once again you have shown an incredible talent to capture our minds and hearts by making us aware of the dire situation we are all in as human inhabitants of this world. Faith and simple obedience while walking that intellectual/spiritual path and doing the right thing (taking action) will always prevail.

Until we all follow one of the most important of the Ten Commandments that is, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF" (Mark 12:31), we can never really move forward in respecting earth and all its creatures. "The Law of Redemption" (Leviticus 25:23-24) is also important to know and understand.

You got skills young lady. Start posting your video mixes and messages on YouTube (www.youtube.com) to capture and enlighten more people around the world. And yes, I loved that Bob Marley video mix!

Helena, thanks for making us all conscious and aware of the world's environmental situation.

Let's all take action, but as Bob Marley sings, "don't worry, everything's gonna be alright".

I will leave this post with a little Bob Marley video mix:

Rolling Stone Magazine listed the Redemption Song among the most influential songs of our time. Combined with images of how we destroy the environment drives home a clear message: we are on this earth for a short time; we own no oceans, no mountains, not even a single tree. Yet we take more care with a rental car, returning it in pristine condition so other may use it, than we do with the environment. We master nature by tunneling through mountains and chopping down trees. Progress? The oil washing up on the Gulf coast is a symptom of this "progress". Profits are measured quarter to quarter. Harmonizing with nature is not a short term goal. It's a long term commitment to respect nature and realize that we cannot be slaves to the mindset that delivers to shareholders at the expense of our children. Once the environment is gone, so are we.
